As a race track owner/operator, times like this are one of the hardest positions to be in. Watching multiple forecasts and looking everywhere in hopes of a better forecast, and finding none. I have had multiple calls, texts and messages today with thoughts and opinions. The GGG race is a fun family event, which it makes harder to make a decision this early – we all want to race and have a good time, and watch the kids have a good time. With the forecast as of now, which I know can change, but with what we have to go by is tomorrow will be dry, but Saturday rain potentially moves in early. The rain in the early AM hours would prevent us from taking the track on time, with the work to dry it. The rain looks steady most of the afternoon into the evening. This would not be a good experience for anyone, even for trick or treating. Rain and cold temps are no fun for anyone. Sunday morning is also showing possible rain. Even if we do not get rain Sunday morning, with the temperature, we would at best be noon or afternoon to get on track. This is a tough season for all of us. For the racers, I do not want you to waste tow money to sit and potentially not be able to race for 2 of the 3 days. With the business expenses as well as all of our customers expenses in tow, time, and fuel, it’s a losing situation. I also want to be considerate of those who may be towing in tomorrow, and give them enough notice. It is so disappointing to announce the track will be closed this weekend, and we are rescheduling GGG to October 29th and 30th. Staff along with myself have done so much work in a short amount of time this week, Mark, Bob and Austin have all the decorations up, Amber got all the shirts and hoodies loaded and hung up. We all were looking forward to one of everyone’s favorite races of the year. If you make the decision to go to Dragway 42 or National Trail for their Halloween races this weekend, be safe and have fun. Apologies again for the cancellation of this weekend, I absolutely hate to do it, but unfortunately I have no control of the weather. We will have an updated GGG flyer out soon. Thank you for your understanding and support. See MoreSee Less

Smart move. Sitting in a cold rain with small kids is not high on anyone's list of fun things to do. You've still got almost a month before the actual holiday, plenty of time to reschedule a real fun event.

it's always a tough decision Greg was looking forward to the event but mother nature rules and you made the right choice ill will be there on the 29th and 30th

Sorry to hear this Greg. But Mother Nature has other plans this weekend.

Unfortunately that's one thing we can never control is the weather

I think for THIS particular race and style of race this is the best call. If Saturday is miserable, the whole event is miserable.

Will Saturday the 29th be trick or treat ? We really wanted to attend but unfortunately that’s our community trick or treat and a lot of the surrounding areas. I know its hard to accommodate everyone.

Why not open it up for just test n tune friday night?!?

I hate losing the last race of the year but this was a good call Greg. I hate sitting in the trailer in the cold more. Thanks for a good desision.

Smart move Greg …let’s pack this place for the rescheduled event !!

What about test n tune?

Lol, if you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any at all 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the early decision. Would the gates be open anytime this weekend so I could get my trailer out?

For those going to SBRA, how are you getting our race packets to us? I'll be in Quaker next weekend.

I believe you are making the right decision it’s hard but has to be done

Hang tough! It is such a great race for all.

We enjoy the GGG event and look forward to it each year, but completely understand!

Thank you for make the hard decisions!

Why not reschedule?

I hate it, but I believe in this instance you’re right to call this one early. Might be different with some temp to dry stuff up but it’s not happening

Tish

Dewayne Depoy that sums that up lol

CindyandJeff Stewart

No rain tomorrow so why would you NOT have a tnt????

Ed Matis Shawn Matis Mitch Matis

Had a good time up there last weekend . Was hoping to come back this weekend but the rain just couldn’t hold off 😡

Over the past few years, Rick Rokosky and the Rokosky family have grown to be a part of our family. Rick, his sons Cole and Kyle, and now grandson Ryan have been coming over to Keystone Raceway for various race events. Rick has stepped up in a big way for our Real Painting Inc 660 Jr Nationals by sponsoring a number of the specialty races, and providing all of the custom, handcrafted trophies for each class and specialty race. Rick and his family really love being part of the Junior Dragster program and helping support the next generation. Speaking of family, in the photos you’ll see a nice custom lamp Rick has made for me. He also made an identical lamp to this one as a fundraiser for a cause that special to all of our hearts in the racing family, the Thinking of Nikki Foundation. Rick made a lamp last year to raffle off for the foundation and decided to do it again. This year, Rick is coming to our Ghost Goblins and Gearheads race to offer a chance for some lucky person to win. He will be selling tickets for this awesome lamp.

100% of the donations go to the Thinking of Nikki Foundation. Thank you to all of the Rokosky family and Cobb Industries, for all of your continued support and your heartfelt generosity of this great cause.

We are watching the weather, and will be updating the plan for the weekend later this afternoon.

PLEASE READ: During trick or treat on Saturday, it is foot traffic ONLY; absolutely NO motorized vehicle traffic. The gates will be closed and locked, no vehicles in or out until trick or treating is over.

Which entrance?

I think I can speak for most of all the racers . We totally support and appreciate this decision! It's the only logical move to be made! It saves everyone's time and money 😀.. now let's take what we learned at bracket finals to mason Dixon next week and win the whole thing!! #teamkeystone let's go!

On a side note Greg Miller when can I get my tow rig and car? They're parked up on Mopar hill and we need to make some adjustments planned for after our ggg race but before the mason Dixon trip..Dad was asking If there is a planned day for this private msg or message here
